Hello!! My second class with intermediate I was about
verbs patterns
The warm up activity that I developed was clock
‘buddies this is another speaking activity where they had to talk about their
English class, their previous topic, what they needed to improve in their
English classes, etc. Something that I noticed is that the students did not get
directions, so the teacher told me that I need to be more concise and clear
when giving directions because some Ss got lost and did not understand what
they really need to do.
In the presentation phase they used the books for a
reading comprehension about smile, them they answer some questions.
The topic was verbs patterns, so it was like a review
that is why I did not take too much time explaining the topic, after that they
have some practices and I could see that most of them had forgotten some things
about the topic.
My problem now was how to monitor Ss. I insist, the
group is very large, and is difficult for me to catch their attention.
I know now that I have to work in this point. Despite
of those situations I enjoyed the class, I like teaching because I know that
I’m improving and learning at the same time.
